On behalf of Prof Lüdtke and Prof Ostermann from the Leibniz Lab for Relational Communciation Research (Leibniz University of Hanover) and the Center of AAC (University of Pretoria), we would like to thank Sennheiser Electronic SA for the sponsorship they provided for our TALC project ("Digital Change in Researching Multilingual Communication using TALC - a Tool for Analysing Language and Communication")!

Yesterday, James Futter (General Manager at Sennheiser Electronic) visited the Center of AAC in Pretoria again to hand over two MEMORY MIC Recorder to Prof Juan Bornman and Dr Dana Marks in person. Fixed on the child's or parents' clothes with a magnetic clip and connected via Bluetooth to a smartphone, the very light microphone continues to record at any distance from the smartphone. The Memory Mic records up to 4 hours of audio in high quality which will automatically synchronize with the smartphone via a Sennheiser Memory Mic App afterwards. This hardware technology will be used for the data collection in our project where we will record spontaneous language samples of children in natural communicative situations. Thanks to this generous sponsorship, we are now able to start with the data collection for our first pilot study!

We deeply appreciate Sennheiser's support which we understand as a vote of confidence in our project - we are looking forward to the next steps of the project!
