Abstract: Testing offices for Easy-to-Read Language have gained more importance in the past years, because public authorities, institutions for people with disabilities and companies want or have to provide information in Easy-to-Read language. The article presents the initial results of a project funded by the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs about the situation of testing offices in Germany, in particular about the activities, the customers, the participation of people with disabilities and the trend of development.
